Thanks for your question! Amazon has a 30 day return window per Amazon’s return policy. In terms of washing it, only wash it when you feel it needs to be washed to preserve the integrity of the silver fibers but they will also hold up for a long time. Just wash it with a natural detergent and hang dry it if possible. If not, tumble dry on low. The poncho is very well made and should hold up for a long time! -Halsa

Thanks for your question! Our EMF Faraday products have a Shielding Efficiency of 99.995% (45dB at 1 GHz). Each EMF product provided by Halsa is tested with an EMF meter to ensure it’s shielding efficiency. If you decide to also test on your own with an EMF meter, do not place a cell phone inside the product, and then try to call it. This is not an accurate way of testing the effectiveness. Instead, use an EMF meter to compare RF/microwave levels inside and outside the product and you'll find the EMF product is very effective in its shielding efficiency of EMFs. -Halsa

Hi there, thanks for your question. The hood attaches to the poncho through a series of small, concealed plastic snaps. They're very sturdy and don't pull apart easily, so the hood will be secure. There is not a gap between the hood and neckline once it's secure, you'll have full coverage. I will try to attach a photo of how this works. Thanks!
