To answer your question, In my opinion I don't believe so. The punch set is more for moving metal or plastic pins. I have used various punches similar to these in the past.

great start to gunsmith tool set

I was building my first AR, and this was a great start only thing I needed that was not here was the vise grip mag holder. This set will provide me with more tools, as I have learned from other gunsmiths with other firearms the need for the block. The right hammer and punch for not damaging the items being worked on.

Punches are long enough but the hammer is kinda cheesey but the length of Punches is good if looking for longer ones for some pistols. Better than another kit I bought. Happy with purchase
