I have 2 keys with plastic ends that have chips in them. Will they fit internally?

The plastic will take up a lot of space and won't move right. I clipped the auto key on the outside, still much better

Is there a place for oversized keys and car fobs?

My oversized keys fit fine. Car fobs should be attached to the end so it can't tuck away in the unit. Make sure you space the keys evenly and don't over tighten the screws.

does it have a knief or can you have one added

There is small key shaped knife tool that would fit like your other keys

What about the painting? Does it get rid of or scrape with time?

Have had mine for four-months and have not had any problems with scraping.
