This plug extension was purchased for use outside where I needed more than two plugs to operate a pump, filter, landscape lights and pond lights. It works a charm.The light in the switch that lets you know when it is on helps, as if something is not working I can immediately trace it back and know if its the unit or the power supply.The extensions are thick rubber and plugs fit tightly helping avoid any moisture comin in contact wit the prongs.

ESSENTIAL for wrangling all those baseball sized ac/dc converters that hog up the wall or power strip outlets! These are GREAT for plugging in cell phone/tablet chargers and all manner of oversized power converters (external hard drives, USB hubs, routers, switches, even some printers and monitors). Since most of those plug warts take very little power, it is highly unlikely to overload the circuit, and this squiddy has an internal circuit breaker too! (15amp)Couple clever tricks:1. The switch is lighted so you can find it easily and tell quickly if it is on or off.2. There are inset holes in the back so you can mount it on the wall or side of a desk or other vertical surface to keep it from cluttering up the floor too much.This squiddy is pretty rugged looking and would probably last a long time in a rough environment too, but it is NOT designed for outdoor use. If you are using this for several high demand items in the garage (like plugging in several power tools for simultaneous use) BE CAREFUL you do not exceed the total power draw rating for this squiddy (max draw 15amp at any one time) OR the outlet the squiddy is plugged into (whichever is LESS).

These power squids are awesome to keep in the photography chest. I use it when I need to run multiple cameras on AC power, multiple battery chargers at once, or when running several LED studio lights. It's especially nice when I'm running things with the giant wall-wart power supplies, that can block multiple outlets.

Good value

Helped de-clutter the floor below my PC. Works well. Robust construction. My only complaint is that the cords should be a bit longer. The main cord should be about 2 ft longer and the squid cords about 2 inches longer. Also 7 squid cords (instead of 5) would have been quite useful.

I expected to get the 5 -way split extension cord, but the picture of the item (all I could find that was close to what I wanted) showed 5 multi-colored outlets that looked to be different sizes of power. What I received was exactly what I was looking for: a 5-way outlet with 5 yellow 3-hole outlets with heavy duty cord. I love it!

I needed a solution to keep all of the Wemo smart outlets plugged in all year when they aren’t in use for the holiday decorations. The smart outlets don’t fit real well into traditional power strips. These really fit the bill. They are Laos useful for where you have multiple power bricks.

Not really a lot to say about this item except where has it been all of my adult life? It's not the most beautiful of objects but it's purpose is not aesthetics but rather performance and it delivers that superbly. With so many of our "indispensable" devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops etc.) receiving their power via bulky ac/dc converter blocks this is a veritable necessity. A few manufacturers are actually making power strips that are able to twist, turn or slide apart to accommodate these converters but they are usually prohibitively expensive.The Power Squid 5 and it's smaller cousin the Power Squid Mini (3 outlets) fill this niche neatly and at a much more reasonable price point. Not only that but it is from a company that has been around for a very long time, specializing in products that make our productivity more feasible: Stanley.
