This wiring harness fits nicely into the guitar and was easy to install soldering easily to the bridge connections. I put it into a guitar that had been ignored for a long time. The volume and tone pots did not work and the guitar had a continuous grounding issue. The guitar had chrome knobs so I did order these separately. Plugged it in and no grounding hiss, sounds great.

I bought this not to install on my guitar , but to use it as a blue print . As a guide when I need to solder the real cts pots . I own a soldering gun , but anyone can use these harnesses on guitars , make sure the wires are secure with a strong connection.

Easy to install and works for my purposes-- a 5 way switch with 1 volume and 1 tone.This configuration works for a 2 knob strat (think Yamaha Pacifica) or Nashville Wiring of a telecaster. Fits perfectly in a telecaster route.500k quarter-size pots (full size). Input jack is "import specs" so it is small but durable (personally I prefer this size). Wires are tidy and colored correctly (i.e. not everything is red wires 😝). Solder Joints were clean. Switch is responsive and won't slip-- it feels good and clicks like it should but thankfully doesn't make audible noise in the circuit.All you have to worry about is soldering your pickups to the switch and the ground wire to the bridge.For my pickups, there's a severed level drop-off at 0-2 on the tone pot -- bummer 😑 every position sounds nice and I don't usually fiddle with the tone mid song though so it works for me (for now)

Got this for a guitar I was rehabbing! I rescued the guitar before it went into the trash at a house I was rehabbing. the controls for the guitar had two wires disconnected and was in bad shape . So I replaced every thing with this prewired kit, pickup not included. and the guitar is now playable.

The soldering was done well and all the correct wires were there but the switch was defective which was really annoying after getting everything together and done, to find out there’s a defective component. Checked solder points, checked everything was grounded, etc. Used a leftover switch from a different project and now everything is working just fine. If you have pieces to replace a single component or so in this harness it’s not bad for the price but if you don’t have any extra pieces you may want to buy a different similarly priced harness.

I had to un-solder the output jack, fit it back in and re-solder the jack, but otherwise still than that the installation and soldering pickups to the kit is very easy, and all pre-soldered areas including the wiring is very well done.

Had to replace the switch and input jack. Not worth the energy of troubleshooting these awful components. Additionally: please update the useless diagram in the photos section.
