The buckle is just decorative. It actually closes by a magnetic snap. 👍🏻🤗

I can't send pictures, but this color is very dark green, not dark gray. May be a problem with light. The seller should take a new picture.

Q: What kind of compartments are inside?

Pocket on the outside of the bag that’s 5.5” wide and about 5” deep. Zippered pocket on the inside with a 5” opening that’s about 3” deep.

Q: Are these made in China? If not cow leather what are they made from?

Not sure, I will tell you it looks very close to leather. I sent mine back because of the gold hardware, the return was super easy. If I look past the gold buckle, it is a cute purse.
