This Hone is Impressive
This hone is round for sharpening serrated knives. I used it on a Global knife, and the results were surprising. A few strokes per indentation on the knife and it was very sharp. A couple of strokes on the reverse side removed the burrs. The hone had a little gray residue on it which easily wiped off. I used the hone on a bread knife and steak knives with impressive results.

Good Deal
Worksharp makes great stuff so I was eager to buy this rod. The quality was good and I like the built in honing angle in the handle. It refinished the edge on my kitchen knives pretty quick so I’m gonna say it was a good deal. The only thing I think could be different is if the rod could rotate in the handle so I can keep using the angle guide but on a different place on the rod every time. Not complaining, just an idea.

A Well Made Knife Honer
I bought this specifically to sharpen the curved blades of my karambit knives, for which it works very well. It should be noted that this is not a "sharpening tool", per se, but a honing tool. It is made to increase the sharpness of an already sharp blade that has gotten slightly dull. It is well made and incorporates a sharpening angle in the handle. I have only used it on my karambits and a few kitchen knives so far, and I've only had it for a few weeks, so I can't speak to its longevity or durability. It does put a very keen edge on knives. My kitchen knives slice through tomatoes effortlessly, making slices so thin they are almost transparent if I want to do that. I don't think it will work on serrated knives. Again, it won't do anything for a really dull blade. But if you have a knife that has lost that fine edge from use, this will restore it to almost razor sharpness.

Perfect size, works well
I really like the size of this honing rod. From pocket knives to a chef’s knife, it works well. It also fits in the cutlery drawer. I really like the 20 degree guide which really improves my skill level and gives reliable results. Highly recommend.
