Replaces Ring Without Subscription
I liked the Ring video doorbell except that it doesn’t really work unless you buy a $100/yr subscription. After a couple of failed searches, I found the AOSU Video Doorbell Pro with everything I need. This unit does not require a subscription and has the touch and feel of quality. It does require a one-time, $10 purchase of a Micro SD card for local storage of videos. A subscription service is available if you want to store data in the cloud. The Video Doorbell Pro comes with a signal-enhanced base station repeater that also rings when the doorbell is activated. I installed the base station near my router, 30 feet from the front door and down a level. No problem receiving a clear signal for the 2.5GHz channel on my router. The base station plugs into any outlet, so it can be put almost anywhere. The Video Doorbell function provides a crystal clear image of events near and far. If I hear something outside and want to see what is going on, I can open the front door camera, zoom, and pan to view the entire block. The door can be answered by your voice or a device-generated voice. Two-way voice communication with a visitor from your phone can save you a trip to the door, and that is a feature I like. The app provides for guided installation of the product, as well as sharing with other family members. If you are like me-- dumb enough to need tech support, but smart enough to use it, you are in for a treat. AOSU has the best product support I have ever encountered. They are quick, knowledgeable, and have answers for my poorly framed questions.I recommend this company and their Video Doorbell Pro.

Doorbell camera good quality
This doorbell camera is amazing. It has a good visual of the front of my house. It captures cars or people that pass by. The tiny issue is that you just have to buy a subscription to see the prerecorded videos. There are many options. I got the cheap one, which is like 7 bucks, but it shows me all camera recordings that happened in the previous hours/days. It connects to the home Wi-Fi and you have to download an app for it. When someone rings the doorbell bell it shows up on my phone and I'm able to see and hear perfectly. I've had it for about 5 months now, and it still works perfectly great!

Great alternative to the popular brands
TL;DR: 6 months in, good enough video quality, wide view, a little slow on the reaction and notification time (2-3 second delay), app is easy to use, super cool notification/detection options, a lot of $ up front but saves me money in the long run because there’s no subscription requiredNot sure why the attached photo is blurry, it’s much clearer in actualityI would give this 4.5 stars if I could. I chose this camera as an alternative to either Ring or Blink. I really didn’t want anything that would require me to have some sort of subscription to store videos. This one has the option to use a microSD card. I like that the SD card is stored in the chime and not the camera so you don’t lose access to the videos should something happen to the camera itself. The video quality is good enough for what I need it, but if you’re looking for something that can capture license plates, this might not be it. The angle is quite wide so you have access to quite a bit of space if you don’t have any obstructions. It is night vision capable, not the clearest, but definitely good enough. The battery lasts about two months on average for me and charges quickly, maybe 2-3 hours? The installation process was pretty easy. I unfortunately can’t mount it to the wall since I’m renting, but I was able to attach it to my screen door with a zip tie through the base and haven’t had any issues. It’s easy to remove using the tool they provide. The reaction time isn’t perfect. I have noticed that it can take up to 2-3 seconds to send me the notification after movement is detected, but that also probably has to do with internet speed and coverage. The live view takes a few seconds to load, but this wasn’t a deal breaker for me personally because I don’t speak with people through it, I just want to know if things are dropped off. I did have a few issues in the beginning with it connecting so I had to restart the system twice in the first few months, that’s why it would be 4.5 instead of 5, but I haven’t had any issues since. The app is easy to setup and use. After a few days looking through the features, I was really glad to have chosen this camera. It gives you so many options for editing the field of movement. I set it up to only go off when it detects movement in my walkway and have added a privacy spot to cover the area in front of my neighbors door so it doesn’t record when they have visitors. These features are all included in the purchase of the camera. They do have a subscription option with additional AI capabilities and cloud storage if you’re interested in that.Overall, I’m really enjoying this camera. I did a ton of research and tried a few options before landing on this one. It is a lot to pay up front when you can get a Ring or a Blink on sale for $60, but just with the SD card option, I save anywhere between $60-100 yearly in the required subscriptions. In the long run, I save a hell of a lot of money. Give this a try.

Good Budget System
Battery lasts a long time, image is clear. For a budget security system, it does what I want. I wish it connected to the homebase of my 3 aosu rotating security cameras, but that's the only complaint I have. I have it along with 3 other aosu camera around the house and they've become so reliable, the dogs know the alert sound and take off to find what caused it.I bought this summer of last year and this year, April, and it stopped holding a charge. I emailed customer support surprisingly, in under 24 hrs they had it resolved. I heard others have issues with customer support but I emailed and had no problem. I provided an explanation of the problem, they asked for the camera serial number, photo and video of the malfunction and sent me a replacement in a few days, so for that, I'll submit the review and thank Lynette and Nivardo.
