I purchased these after being bit by a copperhead. I hope not to take a chance on how well these defend me against another snake bite but as far as against other items heavy brush and briars they work well. Great durability great fit help keep you cool if you wet them well worth the money.

These are awesome. I have pokey raspberry plants that shred my arms every time I have to prune them. With these sleeves on NOTHING got through. The material did not snag. I've never used gardening sleeves before and after 30 years of gardening I sure wish I had! These have a velcro strap at the top to adjust them to fit/stay up. I think they might be man sized because they don't fit super tight, which is really comfortable. On me, they fit like a long sleeve base layer. They were moderately cooling until I'd been in the direct sun for a couple hours and then everything was hot and I had to take them off.

Arm length just fine at 18”. Very tough material that withstood all the possible scratches, dings and bruising that I usually experience mowing around trees, shrubs and sheds. Having a Velcro adjuster for the upper arm is helpful. In early spring, I wore the sleeves over a long sleeved t-shirt, but I can tell that the sleeves are warm for hotter days outside.

These armguards are perfect. I tried a different brand, and they were almost twice as thick as this pair. I am mainly looking for fitment and sun protection, so the thinness of the material is a big plus for me.I have not tested the cut protection, but it seems legit. Even though it is thinner, it feels comparably sharp resistant to my thicker pair from the other brand.The best part about these, for me, is the hand/thumb portion. The other brand has a very thick band around the hand portion, where it is stitched. This pair, the stitching is almost completely flat. This leads to significantly less irritation if you wear GLOVES with the armbands.And of course, there is the velcro. Having a 360 degree velcro enclosure is game changing. The other pair had a 3/4 closure, and it was a big problem for me having the armguards stay on. Along with that, these ride much higher up - almost to my armpit (awesome coverage) compared to the other brand which only went up about 2" past my elbow.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Absolutely great protective sleeves. Need them for yard work since I am on blood thinners. Comfortable and fit is perfect. Recommend w/o reservations.

Protected my arms while trimming rose bushes.

I have used other arm protectors, but, in my opinion, these Schwer protectors with their velcro fasteners beat all the others for convenience, comfort, durability, and usefullness. The Schwer velcro goes all the way around the arm assuring a comfortable fit. These are better than other arm protectors that have less velcro. I now own 2 pairs and am so glad that I have them. Cant go wrong with these.

Bought these to protect my old arms from getting bruised up working on the bottom of car seat while installing seat covers. After the first set was installed I counted about 10 bruises on my forearms after digging around in the seat springs and heater boxes and other power seat mechanics. Now that I have these protectors I got no bruises dining the second car!!Downside to these is the Velcro attachments that circle around the upper arm to keep them from sliding down The attachment is about a 1 1/2" wide prickly side velcro strip that is sewn on the outside of the protector. The softer piece is like a strap that completes going around the upper arms and sticks to the sticky part. Problem is the Velcro is about a 1/4" from the top and the fabric above the strip rolls up when worn, allowing the prickly Velcro to rub on the skin. Both sides are the same. Really irritates the skin. I've asked the wife to remove both of the sticky Velco pieces and move them down about an inch or so, so the Velco doesn't contact the upper arm skin. If I had it to do over, I would have selected a pair that weren't held up with stiff Velco. YMMVFOLLOW-UP: just received an e-mail from the sender in response to my review. Expressed they were sorry for any problems I had with the product and offered a refund. Did not ask me to change the review like the AMZ sellers, but I was glad to see the vendor reads reviews and tries to make things right. After the wife's sewing skills remanufactured the gloves, they fit great and I wouldn't want to take advantage of the seller's good will. Will not be taking them up on the offer, but would definitely do business with them again!!
