Best disc lock....
I've ever owned; made in Taiwan and has a smoother action than most; heavy and well-constructed. Comes with the reminder cord. A great buy on sale!

A Yellow Lock Was Purchased Because It is A Visual Deterrent
This yellow brake disk lock works as advertised. It came with three keys. The keys are the reason for the four star rating. The keys seem to be made of cheap chrome plated zinc. Which is brittle compared to carbon steel or brass. If ever the key is broken and I'm not at home, I'll be stuck somewhere needing to pay for a ride home and then back to the motorcycle with another key. If the key breaks in the lock, that will be disastrous and expensive to handle. For now the key turns very easily. It's still new.I do not intend to take a hammer to the lock to test its strength. No thieves have attempted to remove it. To me it is more of a visual deterrent. I also use a thick padlock with 1/2" cable when locking the motorcycle. Using both is tedious. The cable is used to wrap around poles or other objects to prevent it from being carried away. When no poles are available the cable goes through a wheel and around the handlebar to prevent the steering lock from being broken. We do what we can to keep our motorcycles from being stolen. I'm glad that this disk lock is available to help.

Heavier duty than I expected and seems like a good extra deterrent
Heavier duty than I expected and seems like a good extra deterrent. I use it in addition to my u-lock if I'm leaving my bike somewhere where I feel less comfortable. It's quick and easy to attach and lock with one hand - just press in the button - and unlocking with the key is also quite easy and fast. So far so good.Update - around six months later. Still using the lock - and last week it prevented a 'snatch and grab' when I parked it for a few minutes next to the front door of my friend's condo. Not a bad area in any way and I left the bike in front of the kitchen window (!), but to be on the safe side - and since the lock is so convenient and easy to use - I popped it into my front disc brake. A couple of teenagers were passing through and thought they'd spotted an opportunity. Heard something outside, ran out - and at least snapped a photo of them before they disappeared - empty handed. This lock just paid for itself...

Overall pretty good, but too small for some brake discs
Overall, seems well-made. Works great on the front or rear brake disc of my Kawasaki Z1000, and on the FRONT brake disc of both of my Harley-Davidson Sportsters, but it DOES NOT fit over the rear disc of my Sportsters - the disc rotor is too thick for this thing to slip over it, which was surprising. (Maybe if I filed the inside of the lock for more clearance? Nah...) My intended strategy was to use a throttle/brake lock to secure the front brake and then use one of these on the rear brake disc so that a thief couldn't just lift the front end of the bike and walk it over to a truck or something to tow it away (I've seen videos of this happening). But since I can't use this on the rear of the Sportsters, I'll have to just use them on the front/rear of the Kawasaki and come up with a different solution for the Harleys, which is kind of a bummer. Also, I ordered two of the exact same lock at the same time from the same vendor here on Amazon, and only ONE of the locks came with the stretchy reminder cable thing, which was kind of a disappointment. I could contact the seller, I guess, and ask them to send me one, but they're way over in China and it would take another month like the locks did to arrive, so I may as well just order the extra reminder cable separately from a vendor that's got 2-Day Prime shipping available. Whatever. The locks operate smoothly and easily, not sticky or anything, no fiddling required to unlock them. Putting the lock on is super-simple: just slip it over the side of your rotor until you center the pin over a hole in the disc, push the button, and click! Done. (Obviously, it's a good idea to hook up your reminder cable at the same time so you don't try to take off with the lock on and accidentally dump your bike over.) And taking it off is similarly super-easy: insert the key, turn it halfway, and slip it off - done! No batteries or anything to worry about, either, unlike other locks with those stupid alarms on them - really, who ever pays attention to alarms, anyway?Overall, a pretty good lock. Just wish that both locks came with the reminder cable, and it took a long time to receive them from China. And I wish it fit the rear disc on my Sportsters, but ... oh well.

affordable and very useful
we all need to remember that there is no tool to keep a thieve from stealing our stuff. Saying this I like to compliment how good this little device is. For the price, you will get two keys, a reminder lanyard, a shocking color device that loooks like it came from the 80's (neon Yellow). It is very easy to put it on. Way more easier to take it off. Compact design. And serves its purpose. Thieves are going to have a struggle with this one. Will buy again.

Part of my defense
I use this lock in part with other security systems to secure my bike (living in an apartment complex), works great and I love the unique key design (seems like it would be quite difficult to pick). Overall would recommend (used on a Vulcan 900)

works well, design could be improved
it works well, but if they had added a bevel to the edge it would be much easier to insert it in the disk holes. like this it can be a bit of a pain
