Has anyone tried scanning insurance cards or drivers licenses on this scanner?

Yes. Because it is a straight-through scanner, it will scan anything, including such cards. What it does not do (and I have not tried) is convert the cards into a form that feeds directly into Outlook or a CRM. Very nice scanner.

Does this product work for scanning photographs?

Sure. Black-and-white or color. Of course the results you get will depend on your printer if you’re trying to copy them.

Works with mac os 10.13 high sierra? (website shows 10.12 drivers)

I’m positive. Most of the driver packages are backwards compatible.
