Hi there! The 18V Trim Router does not accept the AC Adapter - only Metabo HPT 36V tools can accept the adapter.

will the 18v cordless drill batteries in this router ?

Yes, however depending of the size of the battery, will depend on the allowed usage. Smaller batteries don’t last long at all.
