The diameter of the base of the16.4 ft. flagpole. is 1 inch. Each of the 5 sections taper down, so when assembled, the pole diameter tapers from 1 inch to approximately 1/4 inch.

How do you measure for size of flag pole?

I just order the size that was 7feet tall but it seems to be much taller and I also order by the price point . Which was around 20.00 . Plus a ploy I real like my flag tear drop makes me look very professional and customize. I bake cookies out of my home 🏡 . But who's going to know 🤔 I hope this helps

Will this work with the rectangle flags?

It'll work better with them than feather flags. but no horizontal pole to keep it in place on top. Basically, id go for one specific to rectangular poles .
