Is a Men's size 8 equivalent to a Women's size 9 or 9.5?

A mens 8 is equivalent to a womens 9.5.

Are these waterproof?

Not sure what you mean by “water proof”, the are made of leather & cloth , not rubber

Are these shoes slip-resistance?

I got these for my husband who works in a machine shop. He says yes they are. They are definitely worth getting.
