I purchased 2 other (cheaper) BT04XL batteries before purchasing this one. They all seem to look the same so why not go with the cheapest. There is a reason this one is Amazon's choice AND it is more than the others. The cheaper battery I ordered first only charged to 76% and then would not charge anymore. By the 2nd day the charging light was blinking which indicates a bad battery. I requested a replacement and the same thing happened. I decided to go with this one because the reviews were better and the company has a 12 month warranty. I noticed immediately the packaging and quality was much better. The feel matched the Elitebook 9470m that I have. The others felts plastic and cheap. Furthermore, the laptop even recognizes there is a battery, whereas the cheaper ones kept indicating no battery installed. I would recommend spending a little more and getting a solid battery and not dealing with the headaches of the cheaper ones.

Excellent product. I was going to get rid of my computer because the battery life was only 30 minutes and then I just turned off without giving me time to plug it in. After getting this battery, not only it lasts a lot longer, around 6 hours, but it also gives me some 5 minutes to plug in the computer. I am very satisfied.

This is a terrible battery. I bought this in August 2024, It’s now January 31 of 2025. Some of the cells must be dead. It only holds a charge for about 30 minutes and shows half the battery life left but it dies.

Inexpensive Replacement or Second Battery.The replacement batter works as intended. I get above average use out of it for the purposes of email, messaging and web-browsing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give it 5 Stars because of the continual Orange Light Blinking concern that occurs when the unit is unplugged and I perform a complete shutdown.This concern of the continual Orange Light Blinking is NOT attributed to hibernation/sleep, because that’s a feature that I disable on all of my laptops. However, when I do a search on “HP Elitebook Folio 9470 activity lights”, one of the results indicate…Why is the orange light blinking?==========================When the light blinks white color, most likely, you are using an unsupported charging device. If it blinks rapidly, the battery may no longer be able to work. In terms of the flashing orange, it probably is a sign of the faulty battery.… Other than that, the HP Elitebook is fairly small and lite to travel with, so having two batteries charged and readily available is ideal in many cases for me as I’m not always privy to be in close proximity of an available wall outlet when I go to eat out at an open bar and want to take my laptop with me.

I actually am looking for a new laptop but, in the meantime, this battery is enabling me to function. It was very easy to install. My only concern is that it tends to get hot and so I have to occasionally unplug the power cord and allow my laptop to cool down. Otherwise, its working for me.

This battery has held up well since the year and a half ago that I bought it. Quick and easy install and it holds a good charge.

Easy to install, but never seemed to last long before needing recharged. I thought a new replacement for my older laptop would be much better than this was. I have noticed it needing topped off more often for the last few months. This week, it has started crashing to dead, turning off my laptop. I could start right back up by plugging in the charger. Today I checked the charge level after this shut down occurred, and it showed 40% charged. I unplugged the charger, and it died in less than 5 minutes. Lucky for me I had charged the old factory battery, and saved it. I installed the old one, and charged it up, and it works as it should again. I may have just got a bad one, but, I would NOT recommend this one.

After researching the many different suppliers of replacement laptop batteries with patchy reviews on battery life I selected this company. Their prices are slightly higher but you get what you paid for. The battery was easy to fit and kept my laptop running for hours on a long haul flight. Recommended, don’t waste money on the cheaper suppliers!
