This device and it's app simply do not work. First, the device has no way to communicate with it until it is connected to a wifi network that your smartphone/tablet is connected to. Because of this, and because the device obviously doesn't know your secure wifi password when you take it out of the box, the only way to get to it is to set up an un-secure wifi network (bad situation) to connect to it through. Once you finally connect to it and tell it your secure credentials, then it will move to that network and you can connect to it there. Unfortunately, with no internet account to see the device when away from your home network, as soon as you leave the driveway, connection to the device is impossible. Also, even when on the same wifi network, there are no options in the app for setting schedules or anything as advertised, just a simple on/off switch. Extremely useless for most applications. Returned.

This product is HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, OR TIME WITH THIS!!! The direction for setup is horrible. The app is horrible. Will not connect to wifi. I tried multiple times. Cant get anyone from the company, or the people who sold it to me to contact me back. I purchase many many things on AMAZON, and have never been more disappointed in a product. Do Not Buy...

Awful - no matter what I do, I keep getting the error message saying that the wifi is timed out. I wrote to the company on Saturday and have not heard anything. Waste of money and now I just bought one from another brand.

works only some of the time. the wifi connectivity is incredibly inconsistent. When you really need it, it just doesn't work. :(

No longer could be controlled wirelessly. Stopped syncing with the app (any app) .

This is a modern socket in a new era. I can control it with mobile apps easily from anywhere. This device is worth purchasing because it's very useful and a 1 year warranty is including. I'm satistied on its functionality and service.
