I bought this as a gift for my daughter — a future physicist. She was over the moon! I really liked the nice wooden base, I thought eventually we could have it engraved if she wants.

So, this isn't the first NC that we have owned. It isn't worth $20 in my opinion. One of the balls moves laterally on the monofilament. This side movement squeezes the ball out of the line and the action stops. Terrible. I superglued it in line and fixed that, but they just aren't weighted enough for good bounce repetition. Spend more on a nicer one. The cheap ones are just that, CHEAP!!

My students love this. Each day I hear the marble swinging as the experience Newtons laws.

It broke with one day

Its a simple small office or young child toy. Basic physics. Looks good on the desk.
