This is a fairly simple system for installing horizontal wires on a deck. I had a bit of a learning curve when it came to inserting the cable into the cable wedge/barrel piece. There's a knack for getting the cable up into the barrel and the wedge so that you can crimp it. Once that's done, you're home free. You have your pre-drilled 5/8 holes that the barrel and wedge go into and then it's a matter of of fastening the screw. The other part of the learning curve is cutting the other end of the cable to the right length because once you've crimped the end, you're committed. The cut was usually a half inch into the 5/8 hole.Overall, we like the the clean lines of the wire and the increased visibility out into our back area which is a wetland. It just looks professional. The fact that the cable and the hardware is stainless steel is another motivational factor since we're on top of brackish water. Footnotes: Customer service is great. They contact you. Buy the tool kit, it's a lifesaver. Tons of videos on Youtube. Big help. Last note, instructions specify that you not crimp the the cable wedge flush into the barrel. If you can come close, a Seal Team needs to talk to you because you're way too strong for the civilized world! :)
