Q: Is there an opalescent look to the nail veil?

No. I can only comment on shade 4. It has a slightly pink color. It is like clear with a light pink cast. There is a nice shine to the nail after application. One coat is sufficient. Sometimes I use a second coat.

Q: Does this come off with standard nail polish remover? Or is it like no chip gel?

Hello Donna, Yes, the Perfecting Nail Veil can be removed with a standard nail polish remover. If you’d like, check out our Strengthening Lacquer Remover for an amazing way to lift away polish without drying your nails or stripping them of natural oils.

Hello, We’re so sorry to hear that about your experience using the Nail Veil but we’ll be happy to help answer your question. This formula contains AHAs to help promote cell turnover to help encourage cell turnover and remove damaged cells from the nail plate. While it provides humectant properties to allow nails to retain moisture and hydration, there shouldn’t be any splitting or drying. This formula is made with Londontown’s signature 21+ free formula, but I’ve provided a full list of ingredients below that may be helpful: Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Malic Acid, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Seed Oil, Allium Sativum (Garlic) Bulb Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Benzophenone-1, Silica, Aqua, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Ferrous Gluconate, Diacetone Alcohol, Phosphoric Acid, CI 77266 (nano), CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 19140, CI 77510 Sometimes it can be helpful to use moisturizers or balms prior to applying any polish to keep your nails looking healthy and hydrated. Q: How is this veil different from Kur nail concealer?

I've never used the concealer but the veil is a translucent coating with a light pink cast. I use it alone with no polish. Gives nails a subtle "cared for" appearance.
