Now that all the hype surrounding hatchimals have died down, I bought these for my granddaughter's 6th birthday. She loved the hatching process (which started immediately after getting them out of the box!) and was so excited when they both hatched in about 20 minutes - one shortly after the other. These particular hatchimals are a cross between a peacock and a cat. We received the pink and blue ones. It's really adorable how they interact with each other, which I feel is head-and-shoulders above the single hatchimals toys. They ARE smaller, but that just makes it easier for Liliana to tuck one under her arm and carry it around with her. You may want to be sure to shut them off at night, so they don't accidentally get activated and wake your little one up! I highly recommend these toys!

This was a birthday gift for my six year old granddaughter. She loved them. I was there when they hatched and it was all very exciting. She was thrilled to see a second one and exclaime now she would have one to share with her younger sister, who is four. I think they are well made and they do cute interactions with each other. I understand that the hatching time was cut down from their previous products, which I feel was a good move. I do have concerns on how this product will hold up with lots of play and accidental drops. Only time will tell.

The first set we received wouldn’t hatch. We had to break it open and the 2nd twin wouldn’t work, despite changing the batteries. After talking to the company that created them, they found that they are sold by a third-party buyer. They had stopped making these twin hatchimals in 2018, the one we received was manufactured in 2017. They kindly sent my kids a couple of toys for the inconvenience which was so nice! I messaged the seller of this hatchimal toy and they had great customer care also. They immediately sent us a free replacement, however, that one didn’t work either. My children saved up $130 for several months to purchase this toy, so they were heartbroken. They used to be $30, I can’t believe how expensive this seller is selling them for now! I thought it would be an amazing, long lasting robotic toy, it is extremely cheap and doesn’t work. Now my children are short $130 and with a pile of broken hatchimals and I’m feeling very dumb. Do not buy: save your children the heartache.

My daughters each bought one of these with their Christmas money. I thought it was overpriced but it was their money so I'm not going to make a big deal over the price. The whole hatching process was pretty interesting and fascinating for the girls. The rest of the "growing" process like training them etc. has worn off. They seem like they are built well and will last.

So much improvement over last year's Hatchimal! We got the ever so hot 2016 Hatchimal and it was such a disappointment. It just would not hatch and we had to end up prying it out of the egg. The company was unresponsive to complaints and I tried hard to steer my daughter away from wanting the 2017 release. But, it kept appearing on every list she wrote. Got a good deal on it, and hoped for the best. Much to my surprise, these were much better. They easily hatched, and had no glitches. My daughter plays with these a lot more since they will interact with each other.

Just a phase that you won’t and didn’t miss out on.

This was a christmas present for my 11 year old daughter. I was hoping she would like it so it surprised me how much she LOVES them. She has never been in to baby dolls but she calls these two her babies and plays with them constantly. She loved seeing it crack open and when she saw it was twins she was so happy and surprised. She didn't realize twins were inside. She doesn't really like reading, but she has been reading the papers like crazy to learn all she can about how to interact with them.This was the best gift ever.

Was requested for Christmas 2017, and was still being played with winter 2018 when another pair was requested to go with the first pair. We lucked out in that we got both color variations. The surprise I'm sure is great for the kids, but something should help a parent identify at purchase which variation they are buying. Well loved fun toy.
