3/8" Hose Barb in-Line Strainer with 20 mesh Stainless Steel Filter Screen

I bought this stainless filter to put between my primary and secondary fermenter as I used a few pounds of fresh fruit during homebrewing. The filter was sucking in air from the top and I can't get it to use my siphon as it stops the vacuum. Because of this I saw lots of oxygen being pulled in therefore stopped this process and just used a hop back during the transfer.So tried again during bottling between my bottling bucket and filler and noticed the same behavior.While it looks good and seem that it should work I cannot use it during brewing.

Total trash I bought two , both no matter what leak air .....

Very small and quickly/easily clogged. Not a good choice if you expect even a moderate amount of material to be filtered. I used these with a 5 gallon batch of beer to clear out particulates after boiling. This clogged in seconds and had to be removed.

This strainer did the job I wanted it to do. Very satisfied.

Much smaller than it seems

Product worked well, however it broke the second time I used it when I was threading the outer casing on.
