Fossil Box with Study of Fossils Booklet (Pack of 1)

Nicely packaged and came quicker than expected. The clear plastic box measures 7.5 cm x 5 cm x 3 cms and contains alot of quite small pieces. Many in mine were sharks teeth which are of interest to him at the moment. There was a large sharks tooth (about 2 cms long) plus lots of what looked like starfish. I guess someone scoops a load of fossils in as about 1/4 was a crumbly dust. I sorted those out and discarded as they were too small to be of interest. I resealed the box for my son as he is 4 and would just spread the lot out on the rugs.You get an informative little book with it and as a whole I think it is a nice present for someone a bit older than four. However I could not think where I could get one locally so the internet came up trumps. I will try and upload an image of what you get. The little pile to the side is what I discarded.

This box of fossils contained a nice amonite, some good bivalves and shark's teeth, but also lots of small bits of rock that were unidentifiable. There was a small booklet about fossils, and a simple key on the back of the box, but they were little help in trying to figure out what all the bits were. Also, the shark's teeth are quite sharp, so definitely not something you'd want to leave with a smaller child.

It was a great little set but much smaller than we were expecting and for a young child interested in fossils was very good apart from the box seemed to be filled out with bits of stones that didn't look like fossils to us although they could have been. The fossil shells ammonites heart urchins belomnites and teeth that were in the box were great.

Brilliant kit. My 5yr old is so delighted she has a box packed full of precious fossils. You really do get lots of fossils, the box is full to the brim, and there is a fab little guide with it so the child can identify what they have in their box and how old it is. I think this would be a fabulous gift for any child from 4 to teens.

Fossils were fine, the book is tiny though. The print is really small, not worth the money paid.

These are tiny, I was expecting it to have bigger pieces. The box is little over matchbox size. I've put them away for my Granddaughter till she's older. Nice though.

Really disappointed in this item, delivery was fast but the item was wrapped in bubble wrap and not in a box as I would of expected, it is ridiculously small both the book and the box of fossils if you can call them that. As you can see on the pics above there are a few so called fossils which could maybe represent one but the rest is just broken smashed up crappy bits of stone or shell. I bought this as a gift but it has gone straight in the bin as I wouldn’t embarrass myself giving it as a gift. The child would of been disappointed and I think it would of put him off his love of fossil and gem hunting, he would of found more interesting finds in his garden. A total waste of money.

Great gift for my granddaughter who is dinosaur/fossil mad. She looked carefully at the fossils with a magnifying glass 🔍 and is making her play house into a museum for her friends to visit!!!!
