I fully acknowledge that I am miss picky when it comes to my nails. I love a gel ombré but I am increasingly worried about the chemicals in the stuff that is used in nail bars. I then started to do gel nail polish myself at home but found it a complete flaff. I have tried gelish, opi and shellac all with ok results but it’s the soaking off that I found a nightmare and it just doesn’t look as good as going to a nail bar. In desperation I bought this color and the Essie gel couture top coat. I can honestly say that I am in love...this stuff is amazing. I do general nail prep then apply two coats of color, it dries really quick so by the time I have finished my second hand I can put the second coat on. I then use put in two top coats. After about 5 mins I run my hands under the cold tap for a minute, not sure why but it seems to help. The polish lasts 5 days on me before tip wear. It doesn’t chip which is a complete first for me. After 5 days I take it off and reapply. It does stain my nails but I’m not bothered about that at all. The colors in the range are great, I have tried a number of the pink/red colors and love them all. Buy this it will change your manicure forever!!!

I only ever buy normal nail polish (as in the stuff you can take off with nail polish remover) but even the ones that claim " long lasting " don't last at all, that was until i discovered this brand. It goes on lovely and looks like a gel polish but it isn't one that you cure with a light or that you need to soak off in acetone . It's brilliantly hard-wearing and the colours in the range are all lovely. I'm a complete convert and won't buy any other brand at all now !

Firstly, I love the colour. I think this is the scarlet red one. I applied one layer followed by the gel couture. It's so pretty but not exactly chip resistant, I suggest applying two coats anyway of the original then the gel.

The best nail polish I have ever used in 40 years. It stays on. No chipping or fading. Dries quickly too. Its worth the price

I painted my nails 3 hours ago, jumped in the bath for 15 mins. All nails started peeling off after 5 mins. It reminds me of that child’s polish that peels straight off! I have used many nail products in the past, but thought I’d try this particular essie one. Please don’t buy it! The colour is nice, the polish is a 0/10!
