where do you get small tape at the end i need that

I would recommend trying your hardware store if the need is urgent or immediate; otherwise contact the company directly, which may send out replacement tape for you.

Will it take the weight of a book 1.5 kilos

Yes we use ours at school all the time with various books

How does this help a child write neater?

We purchased this as recommended by primary school where my grandchild was already using one. Made a big difference to her writing. She finds it a great deal easier to write looking straight at her books rather than having to lean over when flat on a desk. Sorry I can't be of more help.
