Might be waterproof, but it doesn't float
Why is it waterproof but doesn't float? First time out it fell off the belt clip and into the water and sank like a stone!

Fantastic Starter Radio
This is a great starter radio with a number of features. Batteries last for a long time and the signal is pretty great too. However the protective screen over the display can easily break.

Perfect for the job
Love it. Its solid compact and does everything you need it to. Perfect for small boats and kayaks as a means to contact the coastguard or other boats. Only gripe is that the back clip is inadequate.

Very easy to use during night navigation and to listen in on the local traffic and weather reports. You can change between Low 1W and High 3W. Nice to have with you near busy small ports.

Very good radio, does its job well, and with very little noise on the line. Only thing, the batteries may run out a bit quick. Perfect for small boats, dinghies etc.
