My 10 year old loves this and has been watching videos of the solutions!

I've got some experience with the 3x3 Rubik's cube and the pyraminx was the first one I managed to solve on my own. I would rate this as about the same difficulty as a pyraminx or maybe a. It easier. It's quite easy to solve with a bit of work, but am yet to speed solve it. The first thing is to solve the corners one one side, then to try and solve the angles. Sometimes they line up and sometimes they don't. If the face doesn't fit with the centre piece then I usually turn one half of the corners till it's under the other corners and experiment with a few moves to complete the face.The faces can twist 180 and it takes 6x360 twists to bring the solved puzzle back, while the side pieces rotate. It also seems to work similar to a normal 3x3 in that doing a move an reversing a move will eventually complete the move, ie. R' U' R U. Do this and it should return, though it's more confusing on the gear cube.There are pieces surrounding the centre cube that haven't been stickers. I've read that it's too hard to sticker them by mass production so it's left to the consumer and stickers can probably be bought online. This will make the puzzle harder, but I'm yet to add these stickers.The only issue is it locks quite a bit and sometimes need to rock it into rotation. This is why I deducted one star. It's fun to play with it, but wouldn't consider it a speed puzzle.I'd recommend it to those interested in twisty puzzles as it's quite easy and fun to solve. I'd also recommend a floppy (1x3x3) cube and a pyraminx. Those are also fairly easy to solve and don't really need any algorithms.

Looks like a simple Rubik cube. Once you start to play with it. You find out that it certainly isn't. Done the original -try a real challenge

Works ok but they put it in a normal rubix cube package so it is harder to get out because it is bigger than the nomal rubix cube.
