Sherlock Holmes - The Basil Rathbone Collection [DVD]
Product ID: 48936595
Four classic Sherlock Holmes movies with the legendary Basil Rathbone portraying the master of disguise. Hound of the Baskervilles: Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson investigate the legend of a supernatural hound, a beast that may be stalking a young heir on the fog-shrouded moorland that makes up his estate. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Professor Moriarity has a scheme for stealing the crown jewels from the Tower of London. To get Holmes involved, he persuades a gaucho flute player to murder a girl. The Woman in Green: Sherlock Holmes investigates when young women around London turn up murdered, each with a finger severed off. Scotland Yard suspects a madman, but Holmes believes the killings to be part of a diabolical plot. Dressed to Kill: Sherlock Holmes sets out to discover why a trio of murderous villains, including a dangerously attractive female, are desperate to obtain three unassuming and inexpensive little music boxes. Review: Lovely memories - Just what I wanted Review: Mr Holmes - There was only one real Sherlock Holmes no not Jeremy Brett but the master Basil Rathbone.

The box looks like a fancy collection of Basil Rathbone's performance as Sherlock Holmes. Don't waste your money on this. It s a DVD set of 4 with each DVD having one movie on it. I bought this for my wife, as part of her birthday celebration and am disappointed. It is a classic case of overpromise and under deliver. At least change the photo to show it is just a single DVD box with 4 movies, not some compilation of things that a Basil Rathbone fan would treasure.
