Can you record radio broadcasts on the MP3 from its own FM radio?

Not tried to do so myself but the user manual says you can record from the radio and that the recorded files created are in wav format.

Anyone out there know if this is compatible with apple mac ?

according to the box yes it is .uses latest windows or mac os x 10.5 or later ..plays mp3 mp4 wma and wav files ..only downer ive found since buying it is the jack plug for the headphones fits in the side ie not on the end...so it doesnt fit in my aqua pac for full watersports use....but its a good player

Is there a shuffle mode on it for playing songs

it is some time since I purchased this. I did review it at the time. I can recall that it was the most complicated mp3 player to set up. there was a shuffle mode but not easy to set up. my main problem was there was a delay of around 8 seconds between tracks.the write-up makes great claims none of which were true on mine. I sent it back for a full refund. a shame as if everything claimed was true it would have been brilliant

is there a line in socket for audio recording from another source?

There is but if I'm honest don't bother getting , I only had for a few months and it died
