Good foundation for daily use if you don’t want to use your expensive ones

I had been struggling to find the right shqde of foundation and type ever since i relocated to the UK, from Africa. OMG! I will buy this again and again. To all my African sisters, this is the plug! It feels so light, sits well, covers well and doesn’t leave any marks on my clothes. I am impressed!

Sadly was sent the wrong colour but it is still a very good foundation, applied easily not patchy but had to add a slightly darker colour to it before applying because a lighter colour was sent by mistake. I'm 60 and it didn't sit in fine lines or make skin appear dry

So im naturally ginger, with pale skin, huge freckles and really oily skin. it doesn't matter what I use by lunch time it looks like I've gone apple bobbing in oil and all the freckles are back out to ruin my life.So I tried this today. And wow. Just wow.So firstly it is very drippy, it felt watery but.... it was flawless. It covered the freckles straight away. It dried quickly and felt nice on the skin. It didnt cake flake clump or any other negative I've found woth foundations. I applied the make up at 7am and by 7pm it hadn't budged. No oily mess.Will definitely be my go to foundation from now on

Ok, so I am 42 years young (ha!) I have actually been using the same general make up products since I was a teen (foundation, concealer and powder) Always felt too much faff to change the staples due to colour matching etc - so I have stuck to the same all these years!I have been stuck at home for a year now working from home and realised how much more I am seeing myself in the tons of mirrors I have in my house. I realised my basic makeup just doesn't make my skin look the best anymore - I have good skin for my age I think but felt like I needed to shake things up a bit! So I have been brave and been researching and swatting on reviews.I decided to try this foundation and I am so glad I have! I love it! I am sat here at 9.20pm (about to take my makeup off and cleanse etc) and I cannot believe my makeup looks the same as when I put it on at 7.30 this morning! I have combination skin and I chose to use this foundation which is aimed at that type. By late morning early afternoon I have always had to retouch my makeup due to shine on t zone - and even then it didnt look amazing once touched up - I haven't touched my makeup today since applying and it looks fab still!Super impressed! Buff is the colour I chose - risked it as thought it could be too dark for my pale skin but its perfect! I followed the colour match guide and went this one because I have yellow undertones but am pale also... Its like it was made for me!No shine - no slippage...coverage was great when applying. I applied with a kabuki brush. I have also chose a new powder which was Max Factor Miracle Veil radiant powder - so this could have also helped with my new happiness but still! Super happy! The difference from my old products (all Rimmel) is honestly massive!I am converted now! Even running my fingers over all areas of my face now, there's no tackiness even after well over 12 hours.. IMPRESSED!!!! Why did I wait so long to be brave and try something new? *sigh* I suppose I should thank lockdown giving me more time to find ways to improve my make up stash! :)

One of the best foundations I've ever used I chose ivory because it suits my cool skin tone the coverage is great not too light not too heavy just right it goes on like a dream blends well and it really does last all day and looks the same at the end of the day also you can touch your face and it doesn't rub off or transfer to your clothes its really good foundation a little goes a long way too

I've used this brand, shade and type for years. Either I've been unlucky and gotten a bad batch or something has changed for the worse. The texture is awful. I've tried every method. Fingers, brush,sponge, no skin care underneath, different skincare etc because it's really been a tried and tested go to budget foundation for me ans was sure maybe its something to do with me. This bottle is awful. Makes my skin, which is very oily, look dry and patchy! Probably won't buy it again now. I can't stress how off the texture is. How it's managed to make my oily skin look so dry and textured this time... I juat don't know. My other foundation is fine and performs as normal. Very strange but I hate it. Used to be able to use this an every day foundation and be sure of the results. Not having to spend ages desperately trying to work it in and end up very patchy, textured and weirdly dry. What's changed in the oily/combination formula? Hate it.
