Hahnemuhle Nostalgie Sketch Book Landscape A5 (5.8X8.3 inches) 190gsm 40 sheets/80 Pages

I love this sketchbook. The paper is thick and very smooth, lovely for ink/pen drawings. I have used this with microns, uni pins, and dye-based fountain pen inks with zero bleed-through or ghosting. The A5 size is perfect for portability and fits in every A5 journal case I've tried as well as the Quell sketchbook case. It lays pretty flat after carefully priming it so that I don't crack the spine. The paper is a nice bright white as well. I have not tried wet media in it, but may try some light washes of watercolor, since it handles fountain pen ink well and the paper seems thick enough to handle it.

I haven’t tried water media yet but dry media works well. Ink sinks in slightly so I haven’t had shadowing or smudging so far. I’m having a good time with it and the book is well made.

This is my EveryDayCarry Sketchbook. Dip Pen, Pencil, Fountain Pen, Felt Pen, Watercolor, Gouache, Eraser and just about anything else (with care) I put on goes on without too much bleed or fade through or bleed. There’s not even too much page curling. Plus the price is reasonable. I have purchased these sketchbooks in all sizes and orientations and have never been disappointed. Strongly recommended.

This has become my favorite sketchbook for daily drawings. Perfect size for single page or double page spreads. Lays pretty flat with binder clips; smooth surface is lovely for pen and ink and will hold a decent amount of wet media (watercolor). Paper is thick enough that there is no bleed through or buckling. All in all, perfection!

My sketchbook came bented in the front of the hard cover when I received it. Paper itself seems decent quality, just disappointed my book didn't come in better shape.

This has smooth paper which is great for using fountain pen and the paper is thick enough to take multiple layers of mixed media - watercolour, gouache, colored pencil, pastels, etc. The binding is solid and the hard covers are wrapped in a great fabric that stays cleaner than i expected.

Beautiful sketchbook. Of course it doesn't lie flat which is sometimes a hindrance.

This is a portrait orientation, which is what I wanted and hoped for when I read the description although the picture is of a landscape sketchbook. I read the reviews down below and saw pictures from other customers showing portrait, so I decided to buy it. I like it very much, I only use watercolor, pens, Fountain pens and pencils. You can do light washes of watercolor, but I would not go heavy on the water. You can see a very faint showing on the backside, but not much. I think I’m going to really enjoy the sketchbook. There are 80 pages to the sketchbook, and has a smooth texture.

I have filled out one of these notebooks with the drawings on both sides of the paper and the ink did not bleed or go through the paper. The drawings were done with fountain pen and document ink, and also with traditional ink and dip pens. The paper feels smooth while drawing, but not too much, just enough to give you a good level of control. In a few pages i have applied the ink with a brush and there were no problems with bleed or show through. The only thing that i can think off that csn be done better is perhaps the binding. I prefer a bit tighter stitching but that is a personal preference and it would probably lead to the notebook not opening as good as it does right now. I plan on buying these notebooks for my pen and ink drawings in the future because of the bery good performance and a very affordable price.

Es de una calidad excelente, sin duda hahnemüle es una marca que promete calidad, ordene este para probar y ya voy por mi 4to de la misma marca, este es muy pequeño para mi preferencia pero eso lo hace muy portable para viaje, un A4 es mas apropiado para dibujar en casa . Cilt biraz sıkı gibi, daha gevşek olsaydı çift sayfa olarak kullanılabilirdi.
