Ive pressed the pairing/learning button and its not stopped flashing. Even after pressing the off/on. Can someone tell me where I am going wrong.

Hope you have got the instructions which can get hidden in the box. No need to the press the button. Try the following: unplug, then use without pressing the button. If that doesn't work, you'll have to follow the re-programming instructions.

If there's a power cut does it default to off or remember the previous setting?

I simulated a power cut by switching the appliance on (a blow heater) then flicking off the main power switch for about 5 seconds. After switching power back on the appliance did not come back on and required me switching it on again using the remote control. You use the term “re set” which was a bit ambiguous to me as the socket worked straight out of the box (in all likelihood I’m missing something. I remember the instructions mentioning something about setting up but found that didn’t apply to my need) with zero, yes ZERO setting up. The simulated power cut/power restoration didn’t un-set anything, it just turned off the heater, defaulting to off as you say. Hope this helps.

Is this plug/remote suitable for pc?

Hi Lucy By “PC” I am assuming you mean your computer (which would also apply to a laptop that was plugged in). The RC (Remote Control) plug does exactly what it says, no more and no less. Anything plugged in to the RC plug will switch on or off at the press of the little remote control that comes with the plug. I use mine to switch the central heating on and off throughout the evening. You would still need to shut down a PC in the normal way before switching the RC socket off to avoid the “This computer was not shut down properly” message. It is a great piece of equipment that works through walls, allowing you to be in another part of the house completely and still operate the plug. One of the best things I ever bought! Hope this info helps!

Will this be interfere with other similar devices (I have another set that control 3 lamps) ?

I have found if they are in close proximity that the signals are mixed. I have one for each of 2 lamps which were supposed to work independently but now 1 remote works both lamps and the second just 1 of the lamps. Not what I wanted. Hope this helps.

I bought this remote control plug socket to use with Christmas tree lights. I got this for my in laws, to help stop them from crawling under the tree everytime they wanted to turn the tree lights on and off.Both myself and they are very happy with it. It is easy to set up and use, and the remote works flawlessly from anywhere in the room and then some. I can turn on or off the lights without getting up from the sofa.The socket is well-made and sturdy, and the remote is compact and ergonomic. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to control their household appliances remotely. It is a 10/10 product for me. No issues, extremely user friendly. Highly recommended !!

Great plug and remote

This really is a smart bit of kit, I have my outside lights plugged into it so I didn’t have to have an outdoor switch, now I can turn them on from indoors or outside. Would definitely recommend, works great.

Plug in and light it up - great little gadget

I have had one of these fitted by a friend for my LED lights that go around my kitchen which worked for years (other model/manufacturer) so when it stopped working a few weeks ago I was delighted to find I could replace it with something similar. Plugged it in, turned it on and works perfectly. I can see to do my washing up again. Highly recommended and thank you!
