Hot water fast!
I needed a small portable appliance to hear water for tea and coffee. The Jettle is lightweight, easy to use and the water is hot in just minutes!Great for hotel room French Press coffee.Great quality.I'm very happy with my purchase.

Quicker to boil than other similar kettles even with more liquid capacity
It boils 450ml in about 6 minutes, seems well made and it convenient to carry. It is slightly taller than other kettles in this category but hold more liquids and is faster to boil by about a minute.

Decent mobile kettle, could be great with future improvements
Overall the Jettle is a solid small kettle in a convenient "thermos" form factor. The temperature accuracy is reasonable for the size and application. Here I have the set temperature and the measured temperature by an instant read thermometer:104 | 102140 | 132176 | 173194 | 193Note: I wasn't particularly scientific with this and this was just the temperature reading I got when it beeped it was at temperature on one attempt, and then I just went up to the next temperature. Admittedly a better test would have been heating from tap water temperature and measuring multiple times for each temperature setting but there was a limit to how much time I wanted to spend doing this. The UI leaves something to be desired. You hold the button for 3 seconds to select a temperature or turn on, and to cancel if it is on. It's not especially clear if the kettle is currently heating water and/or in keep warm beyond if you hear the heating element click on. I would like to see future iterations of the Jettle with some light to obviously indicate the kettle is trying to maintain the water temperature or just idle. The temperature selections are limited to 12 temperatures (104, 113, 122, 131, 140, 149 158, 167, 176, 185, 194, 212 ) and there is a distinct gap between the highest temperature and boiling. If that matters to you is up to your use case, but for tea Oolong does typically get made at 200 F.The steam vent feels over engineered and I don't know why. It has so many nooks and crannies it's hard to get fully dry after use, even a few days with the lid in the dish drain I can still flick it and get some water drops out. A few holes in the top would have the same functionality without being hard to clean. The steam vent limits the flow of water but doesn't make it leak proof if for some reason you wanted to travel with the thermos full. If you have water in the unit and invert it you get a decent amount of water out, so it's not reasonable to travel with it full if that was your plan. "Leak proof" on the product page feels wrong, at most I would say it's "leak resistant" and wouldn't want to rely on it too much.Despite the current product pictures being in Celsius the unit I received reports temperature in Fahrenheit. Not an issue for me, I prefer Fahrenheit for tea, cooking, etc. but the product pictures should be updated. Ideally there would just be a setting to switch temperature units depending on what you wanted. The displays shows you the current temperature of the water, even as it is heating. It's nice that you can monitor the temperature of the water in real time but it should have some indication of what you set as the target temperature. If you set the Jettle to 176 F, it kicks on, and you forget there is no way to verify what temperature it is heating to beyond waiting for it to beep coming to temperature and resetting the temperature setpoint. Due to the display placement and type you can't see the display from above. So if you have the Jettle on the counter you have to bend down to see the current temperature. Not a huge deal, and it does beep when it gets to your temperature setting, but could be improved. Some reviewers mentioned that it was hard to remove the power plug, I did not find this to be the case. It's a fairly standard 3 prong male plug to female connector. It takes a small amount of force to remove, but the Jettle itself is somewhat insulated so you can just hold it down and remove the plug without issue. For reference it does get hot on the outside if you set it to boiling so it's not as if it is a vacuum insulated thermos, but you can still reasonably pick it up without an oven mitt or something. All that being said I'm happy with my purchase, and I was waiting for something like this to come along for some time. I would like to see the improvements I mentioned in a future generation, but as it stands I would recommend it to people looking for a portable kettle in this form factor.I did have an issue where it would kick on/off in rapid succession when it got near its target temperature. It seemed like the temperature probe was reporting an incorrect value? But I haven't had it happen again, if it does will update this review with that and how the company was to deal with under warranty.

Portable electric water heater
I bought this portable electric water heater because of its compact (packable size) and auto shut off. The only drawback is that it does take at least 5 minutes to boil water. But overall, I am happy with this item.

the water smells like plastic and chemicals
I tried multiple times letting water boil, cleaning it out with dish soap, and then letting it boil again -- but the water STILL smelled like plastic/chemicals. I poured the water out and let it sit until it got room temperature to see if the smell would dissipate. Nope -- did not mitigate the smell.I love the profile/footprint of this item so I really wanted it to work but the whole point is I am going to drink this water so unfortunately I had to return this as I am not going to on purpose drink water that has who knows what chemicals and probably tastes like it. I did not taste the water, but the smell was awful. I go to the trouble of filtering my water so this was nonsensical for me to accept that my water would not be clean after I boil it for coffee/tea.

Best Travel Kettle Yet!
I bought this about 6 months ago for travel. Specifically for work trips to Las Vegas, this hotels no longer have coffee makers, microwaves or guest refrigerators in the rooms. I have to say this is the best one I have ever used. I like the temperature settings, how it keeps the water warm, the cord easily stores inside and it fits well into my checked or carry on luggage. At $10 for a cup of coffee it doesn't take long to pay for itself. I've used it to make coffee (instant and pour over), tea, instant oatmeal, and instant soup. I would highly recommend.

Electric Kettle - Travel Portable Heater
The media could not be loaded. I recently took this Electric Kettle on a river cruise and couldn't have been happier with its convenience. Making my coffee in the stateroom each morning was a delight. The kettle heats up quickly and efficiently, making it perfect for my morning brew and handy for heating water for ramen and tea throughout the day. Its compact size made it easy to pack and ideal for the limited space in a cruise cabin. Its performance and ease of use impressed me, making it a must-have travel companion for any coffee or tea lover. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and portable water heating solution!

“Touch” button doesn’t always respond
Boils water super fast. Doesn’t take up counter space. I like that it doesn’t have unnecessary things like dual voltage, we aren’t all backpacking the world. The cons, getting the “button” just touch area to respond is a pain. I end up turning it off and starting over to get the temp close. It would be nice to have a little more control over that.
