The best crimper for terminal blocks out there
This is the best crimper for terminal blocks that I have run across. I didn't even know something like this existed until I ran across this product. Now instead of having to screw down on bare wire ends, I can easily crimp them down to a professional looking square end and screw down on something more solid that can withstand more connections and disconnections. This crimper is really easy to use and comes with lots and lots of connectors. I do wish they would provide some indication of which color to use for which size wire, but I didn't see anything to indicate that. Update... there is a guide on this product listing... but nothing that came with the product itself.

Anywhere near AWG range, wires pull out of ferulles. and as advertised, they won't hold 24 AWG - too small. 23 AWG only!?
Good to 23 AWG!? 23 AWG!? I wish I saw this since I am working with 24 AWG - my bad. 23 AWG and the green (smallest) ferulle pulls right apart by pinching the wire and the ferulle with a non manicured nail. Fully adjusted to maximum clamping force and they still consistently separate. Lower gauges work better as advertised. There REALLY needs to be a ferulle color gauge conversion chart. I can't speak to plain Cu vs. tinning and crimping strength. Tinning seems to help with other crimpers. I just don't have the confidence to finish my project with these. It's on to Digikey with my $275. Ouch.
