The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories Paperback – 18 Nov. 2004

Bought this as a gift for colleague as she is a huge fan of Tim Burton. She absolutely loved it!! I looked through it before I gave it to her and going to get a copy for myself .....just loved the illustrations and weirdness of the short poems/stories around the characters.

The book is made out of very high quality paper, which feels great when reading the book. The drawings and artwork is amazing, if you are a Tm Burton fan and understand his dark morbid work this book is a must-buy. Some poems are as long as 5 pages, where as some are just 2 lines long. But every poem is accompanied by a relevant piece of art which are intriguing and a pleasure to look at !

This is a great book with very funny poems in and brilliant drawings by the very talented Tim Burton. I purchased this for my son, but have read it myself and I was laughing out loud at some of the poems, I also loved the little drawings. A very funny book indeed and I enjoyed reading it very much. I will be buying more of Tim Burton's books.

Tim Burton is a film director with a distinct and easily recognised style. this book is just snippets into the imagination of the mind with the vision that makes such films as corpse's bride. The short story are quick and easy to read and do not disappoint fans of burton. It's a quick easy if not slightly disturbing in an endearing way .
