Agnostic Front have changed the face of music throughout their 25-year long career. The two records that started it all, United Blood and Victim in Pain, are legendary New York hardcore releases and were partially responsible for the creation of the hardcore genre itself. The band have continued to define the genre ever since, staying true to themselves in the face of faux hardcore, metalcore and other pretenders to the throne. This reliance on themselves and their core beliefs are what have kept them fan favorites since day one! Now with the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2007's Warriors, they offer powerful and anthemic songs that are arguably their strongest in years! Laid down by Erik Rutan (Madball, Goatwhore, Cannibal Corpse) under the watchful guide of producer Freddy Cricien of Madball and mastered by Alan Douches (Nile, Mastodon), this album brings together the most enduring aspects of their sound while still showing the growth and lessons that 25 years of life on the road have taught them. This is REAL hardcore for real hardcore fans!

Long Live The Old School!!!
`Anthemic and legendary are two words that instantly spring to mind when describing Agnostic Front's music and influence on the Hardcore Punk movement. `My Life, My Way' is another slab of in your face Hardcore recorded by Erik Rutan and produced by the expert guidance of Freddy Cricien that unlike the early days has a crisp and very polished production. Of course the early recordings were always about capturing a vibe and lifestyle/movement that 30 years later still sounds as fresh and meaningful as it did in 1980! Moreover, the albums artwork according to the band; `Was to capture the D.I.Y. ethic!' Undoubtedly this has been achieved!Sustaining quality song writing and catchy vocal lines/melodies has never been a problem for a band that clearly has one of the most instantly recognisable sounds and vocalists in the business! Humming riffs and singing along to tracks is always a clear measure of success and as previously acknowledged describing a bands music as anthemic after 30 years is the best accolade a musician can receive. This isn't down to anything other than living and breathing Hardcore, Hardcore and more Hardcore. `My Life, My Way' still represents the way Agnostic Front live their life and isn't as some critics have said; `Them going through a mid-life crisis!' Agnostic Front have and always will be at the forefront of the Hardcore/Punk movement both defining a genre musically and lifestyle to match. Long live Agnostic Front - long live the Old School!8.5-10

All Hail the Grandads
This is classical, i love it, im not saying its their best because that belittles everything they have ever done, all of which i love to, i will say nothing they have done previously is better than this, proper old school hardcore, hard and fast with the gang chants and riffs that crunch their way through your brain, this is NYHC, at a time when there is more HXC bands and variations of the Hardcore monicker than i can make sense off, i find it fitting that AF release this album, like a rottweiler baring its teeth, get back....im still in charge, like Roger says, its their movement, who can argue with that........ no one

Hardcore still lives
This might actually be the best album Agnostic Front have ever released. It has all the intensity and attitude of old school New York Hardcore without seeming disjointed like some of their more recent offerings. If you buy one hardcore album this year, make sure it's My life, My Way.
