Overall I am enjoying this day calendar but I actually wish there were more easy and medium puzzles vs hard because(1) When learning the different puzzle types it's nice to start easy and get more difficult and(2) I often can't commit the time to solving a hard puzzle every three days and this is a day calendar meaning a new puzzle everyday - so either I don't solve some of them or it becomes useless as a calendar because I spend multiple days on the same puzzle which is what I tend to do since I hate skipping puzzles.The format of the book is that it cycles through the six different puzzle types and also difficulties following a three day cycle of easy, medium, hard and repeat - the cycle of the types is more complex so that every puzzle type is equally represented for each difficulty which creates a nice balance. The main complaint I saw for this product in reviews before purchasing is the material of the puzzles and I have to say I agree with past reviewers on this point. If you like to solve puzzles in pencil this is NOT the calendar for you... I like solving in pen so don't have that issue but have found that with some pens I've used the ink will smudge which can be annoying, it also makes the paper slightly see through so if you focus you can read the answer on the back of the puzzle - I'm the sort that would rather that not be possible since I can't unsee a number if I happen to accidentally see it while thinking, this hasn't happened to me yet but it almost did when I noticed it was possible and now just make an effort to not focus on it so it hasn't been an issue.The puzzles themselves are fun the solve and I love the variety of puzzle types as classic sudoku is not my favorite and it was hard to find a puzzle calendar that wasn't just classic sudoku or the mensa puzzle book I've purchased the last couple years - that I likely will go back to for next year but it was fun trying out a new one, so far the sum sudoku is my favorite of the sudoku variants.

my husband does sudoku every day. so last year he got a regular sudoku calender and only the "evil" were interesting for him. so this year i got him this one and it is in abolute love with it. he raves about it every day, that they are perfectly challenging enough. a nice spin on advanced sudokuers! i got it also for my father in law. they are too hard for him to do and he got frustrated.looking for a level up for next year for my husband probably. if i can't find one, it will be this one again.

When I do hard sudokus, I like to write possible numbers in the squares. On this calendar, the boxes are a bit too small to do that easily. The page itself is large, but IMO, too much space is given to the calendar on the right. I would rather a much smaller (or not there at all) calendar and a bigger sudoku puzzle. The page itself is a good size.

I like the variety of the Sudoku puzzles. It is challenging in the different formats and it has the range of easy to hard in all the formats. The tear off sheets for the days are easy to tear off and carry in my purse to do in my down times.

Pros: The puzzles are great. There are several variations including classic sudoku. The sum variant is super difficult, but fun. The variation keeps things interesting without getting boring.Cons: I have noticed one or two days where the answer key is for the wrong puzzle. The paper is quite glossy and doesn’t take pencil marks as well as it could.

I complete a puzzle a day. They range from easy to hard and provide different versions of the puzzles so it is not the standard puzzle each day. It challenges my mind and enhances my problem/puzzle solving abilities.I will definitely purchase it again next year.

My husband LOVES doing these challenging, and I mean challenging sudoku daily. He gets a new one for the coming year each year for Christmas from me.

Gift for my grandma. She lives it.

I was very disappointed when I open this product. The pages fell apart there was no spine on the calendar. I will not be purchasing another.

Love this calendar. Lots of different ways to play sudoku!
