This is not the Jack that is in the Picture and its not a good product
I bought two of these jacks to fix a rotten pillar in my wooden deck. A job with not too much weight just had to lift the decking a few cms - no where near a ton. They both buckled on first use. The steel around the pins at each end is too weak. I have looked again the photos of the product and the ones advertised are different, I suspect the ones in the advertised are better made as there is more support in the design at each end. I am glad I didn't try and jack up a car. Buyer beware I thinks.

Useless
I jacked up my car, a small peugeot 106 so not heavy at all, and couldnt get the car high enough to change a flat. Instead of changing the wheel which would've been a simple and quick job i had to refit the original flat and get all the air out so that i could bend the rubber on the floor to fit it to the car, and then pump the tyre up. Not good. When i tried to let the jack down i tried with a longer pole as i couldnt with the handle provided and it wouldnt budge! I had to roll the car off the jack in order to get the car back on the ground. Even when the jack is not supporting any weight it wont even come undone. Maybe i got unlucky but this is inconvenient and possibly unsafe if being used in an emergency or someone with little experience.

Absolute death trap. Use at your peril
Bought in June but used today for the first time to change for wheels an my sports car (we’ll under a ton). Half way though jacking the drivers side, the handle snapped meaning I had to use a piece of metal to continue to jack it up (should have taken the hint) changed the wheels and moved to the other side. Managed to jack it up again (with a huge amount of effort and scrapped knuckles) and changed the wheels. Got the jack half way down and it stopped lowering. After half an hour of trying, I had to call the AA who had a specialist jack and managed to lift the car to get the useless tool out. Looking at the jack afterwards, the whole thing had twisted and buckled. I was fortunate not to have been injured. I strongly advise against buying this.

Jack-in-a-box
Frankly downright dangerous.Lifting a track car (weighed at 970kg) vs a 1 ton rated scissor jack - bearing in mind 3 wheels were still on the ground effectively meaning the Jack was lifting even half of that weight, best possible scenario.Luckily wasn’t under it, and kept myself to one side or might be seeing if Amazon sell replacement kneecaps.Tongue in cheek review, but a serious matter.

Great value
Does the job at bargain price. Bought for my bubble car so size is perfect.

Good value
Our Renault came without a spare wheel - just a puncture kit. As such, there was no jack either. That's something I do like to have with any vehicle. This fits into the boot easily and is relatively sturdy. An excellent price too.

Now...All I need's a car
This is one powerful Scissor Jack let me tell ya. I was a bit wary for a start as it didn't look up to the job but hey, It's been lifting my 7Kg wood router up and down for the last few months and yet to falter. If there were 6 stars I'd have given it the full monty.
