Globe magnetic light
Brilliant. Once you realise the magnet at top of unit, it's easy to use. Store globe on the magnet site when not in use. Can stay there. If you just want light on. Light is for look and not night light, which is nice effect.Put globe onto magnet area. Then, using plastic tool provided, slowly separate globe from magnet area on until. Wal lah.... it works. Takes couple attempts to get use to but simple once you have the neck.Recommended.( remember NOT to give to a person with pace maker. They have to avoid magnets. Ask them first if a gift ok)

Made a Great Present - for two different people
Very effective and distinctive piece.Made a great present - for two different people.The only downside is that there is no repose position - it needs to be kept on all the time - though a spare egg cup works well when resting.The instructions were minimal but I managed to get it going easily by luck. I found a rubber piece in the packaging - and this proved to be critical in acting as a temporary spacer to get it going.P.S. The one I bought is still going strong 2 years later. A couple of points of note:1. It does rotate, but sometimes very slowly.2. Getting it into 'suspension' mode can be challenging. If you hold it so the magnet has a light pull from the top (not too much or it will stick) you will feel a 'sweet spot' when it suspends.

Purchased as a gift for the office. Quality of product in real life is a little cheap looking, and smaller than I expected.
