This is a great security device, looks discrete and with the shutter feature privacy does not feel compromised.

This feels like a massive concern for a security system that can ...
Somfy Protect (MyFox) Customer Services have just confirmed to me that if you were to use the Somfy one as your Alarm System hub and an intruder enters your property, they can unplug the Somfy One and the alarm turns off and the whole alarm system fails. This feels like a massive concern for a security system that can be cancelled by an intruder.

Got it working, after a while
Works, but not that intuitive during setup. Integration with Google is OK, but nowhere near as good as other devices such as Smart Sockets, Philips Hue, etc.

Great all in one device
I considered many products, and tried a few of them out, and this came top of the list. It is easy to install, easy to add tags etc. You can set it to alarm straight away on motion detection or tampering on the doors windows with the tags or set it to start at various time intervals. It is more than a typical alarm system due to the camera capture with reasonable free access to video clips. Love the panic mode setting, and that you can add people to the device. I am considering getting one for my moms house. The best bit is that the camera switches off when you are in the house. If I was too be picky I would say the video footage could be 4k, but compared to other wireless products, this device and its tags come top. Also, it is worth googling the device and getting it direct from them, as they offer 5% off.

I hate the App as it's hard to navigate. The camera seems good quality
I've waited a few weeks to review this camera because I had mixed feelings about it from the set-up stage. After 2 weeks I actually dislike it even more than when I attempted to set it up.The set-up process sounds so simple. It wasn't for me. It took me about two hours of going round in circles with trying to get it to connect (I tried about a dozen times) and doing software updates. I almost gave up. Eventually it seemed to work okay and the image quality on the App was good. The App itself isn't easy to navigate either, I struggled to find where to deactivate the siren as it keeps going off while I'm trying to test the best place to put the camera and it's absolutely deafening and very piercing (great if you've had a break-in but awful if you're just trying to test it). In the end I pulled the power lead out of the back of the unit to stop the noise, but it just comes back on as soon as I plug it back in, but doesn't seem to be taking commands from the App to stop the siren. While it's undoubtably a very nice quality camera, I don't like it nearly as much as my Arlo outdoor wireless system which has a far clearer App and all the HD video clips for the last 7 days included in the purchase price.Disappointingly expensive and not without glitches and annoyances.3 stars.

Outstanding Security camera you can link to Hue lights
The outstanding features are the HD quality of the camera and the well designed IFTTT (IF This Then That) compatible app. With no tutorial other than the brief instructions and the app I was up and running within 15 minutes. If you're looking for the reset key is on the yellow card insert. You'll need your WiFi password handy. The app needs to be downloaded and on for set up, Android or Apple iPhone ok. The shutter and motion detection can be turned off and on from the app meaning you're always the watcher and not the watched. If you also have IFTTT you can set up applets that automatically turn your Somfy off and on automatically. If you have Philip's hue lights they can work together via IFTTT. The alarm is really loud and clear. You can communicate remotely with whoever is in the room. HD picture and clear sound recording. I have one of the original Philip's WiFi cameras and this is a worthy step forward. Siren alarm can be automated, disabled or disable remotely. Also you can set it to go off I'd anyone attempts to tamper with the camera. There is remote server recording if you pay the subscription.

Faulty device
This seems to have arrived faulty. I managed to set it up. The alarm then went off randomly. Now I cannot get it to reset to factory settings after following the on-line instructions. It says to use the key on the rear reset button; I do this and the alarm goes off again.Useless.
