These worked ok for me when fastening stilts to a an insulated loft, in order to create a platform above the insulation. My only comment is to be aware that because of the self drilling point, the screw threads do not go along the whole length. This means you may need to order a slightly longer screw.

bought these to put door hooks on ouside upvc french doors so to keep doors open on hooks, they went into my upvc doors without any drilling needed, i used a cordless to start them off and finished screwing with hand screwdriver, they only went into upvc and not into any metal and were vere suitable for my needs.
