Monster of the week is a Powered by the apocalypse game designed to emulate the genre of series like X-Files, Buffy the Vampire slayer, Supernatural, Scooby Doo and many more.It's a fun, easy to play role playing game, the dice mechanic is streamlined and the resolution of scenes is fast and clear. It uses a 2d6 dice system and that's the way to resolve any situation you might find, keep in mind that you only should roll the dice when it's really necessary.I bought the second edition of this game along with the supplement "Tome of mysteries", it was so good that I decided to buy the hardcover book as soon as it came out.I think this game supports horror themed games, and action themed as well; if you want to try a new game in modern day era and with an easy and dynamic system this might be the game for you. This game supports one shots, shorts adventures, and campaigns as long as you can think of it as an arch composed by several chapters like a TV show.It's great value for money and you will have many hours of entertainment for you and your group.A highlight that is worth notice is that this game has one of the best master section; if you want to be a better GM, Keeper, DM or however you call it, this games is a necessary read for you, it changed the way I understand the labor of the GM in a role playing game.

Pretty fancy reprint, a tad expensive but the production value is there. This version adds a bit more to the corebook. Great narrative RPG for doing anything from Buffy to X-Files.
