I’m still amazed by the simplicity, reliability and durability of the Hozellock watering system that keeps our subterranean patio lush and green. I put it in place about 8 years ago and so for I only had to replace the watering computer timer a few years ago. The tubes, splits and nozzle droppers have been going strong since. That is, unitl last week when two of the drippers continued to drip even with the system shut down. I can’t really explain it, it can be that some calcium in our hard water area has started to affect the drippers, but then again maybe the computer timer malfunctioned and kept the pressure too high.Nevertheless as we plan to be on holiday for a good few weeks I though it safer to replace these two drippers.In this set you just get 6 plastic dippers that are sturdy and durable. Of course you’ll also need the 4 mm hose and a connection point to your tap, not necessarily a timer. And then, without any tools other than a knife and a piece of wire to create a end to the tube, you are in theory ready to start watering a basic sequence of plants. Our setup it quite intricate with wider tubes covering various heights and probably a 50 m network. It works remarkably well and keeps us from the impossible and time consuming task of daily watering with a can. Would highly recommend the Hozellock system and components.
