The recipient loved this as part of a trio I gave them.

Entertaining if somewhat facile for cryptic crosswords but good to have available to use over a few months to fill the enforced idle moments in this pandemic.

Ihave purchased earlier editions of these Telegraph Cryptic Crossword books and have found them to be of great value when on holiday or relaxing at home. I like them especially for the solutions at the back of the book.

A great way to practice cryptic crosswords. Pleasingly tricky, but with the help of a book teaching the principles of Ximenes, they make good practice.

Just the thing to take one's mind off these troubled times. Telegraph crosswords are not the hardest cryptic ones, so a good place to start, though, interestingly, harder than they used to be in the days when the first two across clues always spelt out a well-known phrase. And it's a nice big book!

Of all the British cryptics I've tried, so far these are the best!! Fun and entertaining with just the right amount of challenge to keep the old brain cells working....No constantly looking at the answers or quitting out of frustration, these are sure to keep you solving for hours!! Will definitely be purchasing the other volumes as well!!!
