Simple to install and great for kids
Initial installation was easy, after a brief skim of the instructions I powered up the camera whilst still in my house and added it to the Vicohome app - which is simple. The application walks you through the process and even includes a section on how to physically install the camera outside.I was then able to move the camera to different locations to check the WiFi signal was good enough before finally deciding where to place it. The camera comes complete with an antenna that screws into the back of the bird feeder - which gives you flexibility to move the camera further away without losing the signal. You can monitor the WiFi strength by looking at the camera settings in the Vicohome application. I was also able to rotate the camera both vertically and horizontally to check the candidate positions before committing to one. There are several mounting options for the main camera/feeder unit. You can mount the main bracket to a surface using the supplied fixings, or you can use the large strap to wrap it around a tree or a fence post or similar. You also have the option of mounting the bracket on a pole, by pushing the pole into the bottom of the bracket. Various thumbscrews are included in the package to enable all these options. I experimented with these options before deciding the screw the main unit into a fence post. You also have several options for mounting the solar panel. You can mount the solar panel directly on the main camera bracket (at the top) but this is only likely to work if the camera is mounted on a pole - as the solar panel will protrude out the rear of the bracket. You get a bracket and fixings to mount the solar panel on a flat surface and enough cable to allow you to put it somewhere in the sun. I ended up mounting the solar panel on my fence reasonably near the main camera to reduce the amount of cable I needed to run. The idea being that I could move it somewhere more sunny if it turned out that the solar panel wasn't providing enough power to keep the camera topped up.The battery life of the unit is pretty good. I've been using it extensively during the installation and configuration and the solar panel is managing to keep the battery charged (the battery level has actually increased since installation - you can check the level from the Vicohome application). Considering that I've installed the solar panel in a position where it only gets direct sun for a couple of hours a day - this suggests that even in the winter months it should be able to keep the battery charged. The solar panel is connected to the back of the bird feeder through a weather proofed connector - so I think it should be able to withstand rain etc. (If the battery does actually run out I could easily give it a boost using a power bank or similar). There is a useful option on the camera that will automatically turn the camera back on again after running out of power, as soon as it has power again. This will save a visit to the camera to press the power button if we have a period without enough sun.I installed an SD card into the camera and formatted it using the Vicohome application, this captures all the detected motion and allows you to review it later on. Depending on how aggressively you configure the motion sensitivity and the recording duration of each trigger I think this will take ages to fill up and begin to recycle the space. I've used about 2GB of capacity in about a week of usage - but I did have the motion sensitivity configured to record lots whilst I was carrying out initial setup. The quality of the pictures are very good. Make sure to change the captured quality to HD (I think it's set to SD by default). The focus of the camera is close and directed at the bird feeder, so you don't end up capturing lots of things in the background. I was able to configure the motion sensitivity to only trigger when their is activity on the feeder - not in the surrounding garden.I've shared the camera with my family - you can invite them through the Vicohome app - who are enjoying the progress of setup. We've not had many bird visitors yet but I think this would make a great present for kids to get them interested in the wildlife right on their doorstep.I'm very happy with this camera and would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in viewing the wildlife in their garden. Installation is simple and flexible enough that you can always tweak the setup once you learn what works in your garden. I'll come back and update this review in future with some video output - I'm just trying to persuade the local finch population to try it out!Update: A Robin visited, so I've uploaded the captured video!

Brilliant Video Birdfeeder
It’s just arrived. Took me 10 minutes to build it and install on the app. Really good quality and very sturdy construction. Great features in the app. The solar panel is a nice addition so no charging required.

Battery
The camera has been great and we have many great videos but after 6 months the battery doesnt even last half the day even with the solar panel plugged in. Thought it would last longer than that.

A brilliant buy
We’ve been absolutely delighted with this. It was easy to set up and has worked perfectly over the few months we’ve had it.The only issue I would have is that we couldn’t quite work out how to attach it to the tree with the Velcro strap, we had to twist it.Great entertainment though and good value for money.

Amazing Quality
The bird feeder arrived. It’s very sturdy construction made from high quality materials. Really easy to setup both the feeder itself and the camera via the app. All done in a couple of minutes. The AI feature is brilliant sending you notifications about the different bird visits you have. Would highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Overall, it has a good design for bird watching. I thought it would be nice to have the solar panel on top of the bird house, but I realized I prefer it is not attached, so that I can leave the bird house in shade and still it gets charged. The package comes with everything I need to hang it up on the tree.Charging was fast, works very well. The app was easy to use. Quality of the camera was excellent. I was not able to get any birds come to the camera yet (probably need to get a different bird food or move the bird house further away from my cat). Otherwise, everything works great and I will recommend.
