HORRIFICALLY FLIMSY MOUNTING "POST"....Think Wet Paper Straw....AVOID THIS PRODUCT!...
The media could not be loaded. Imagine, if you will, someone taking a paper straw...then cutting a triangle out of it so that the tip of the triangle ALMOST separates the straw entirely...but not quite...there is still a little, flimsy, thin-as-a-beer-can-wall piece of metal holding the two ends of the straw together. Then, they bend that little, flimsy elbow joint up....and that's it! They don't weld this seam together, or in ANY way join/strengthen these two (now-almost-completely-separated-held-together-by-2-molecules-of-metal) ends of the original "straw", together. This unsupported "elbow" if you will, BARELY supports the weight of the skull, but as soon as you place ANYTHING on top of the skull...this "elbow" joint gives up easier and faster than a kids "push puppet" toy.I'm still shocked that this company would produce such a cute skull, that is meant for putting hats or a helmet on, and then support it with something that is less strong that a wet paper straw. The instant I put my lightest, over-the-ear, brain bucket helmet on this, the skull rapidly tilted forward, as if someone had snapped its neck, and the skull came off the "post", dumping both the skull and the helmet in my hand. I literally did not get even a SINGLE use out of this. Mounted it, placed the skull on the wet paper straw post (which supported the skull), and then gently placed my light half-helmet on it, and the skull came off the post, dumping itself and my helmet in my hands.Still shocked....great/cute skull, and HORRIFICALLY STUPID and UNUSABLE MOUNT...what's the purpose of the mount if it's designed SO POORLY, that it can't be used/mounted on a wall...when the whole purpose of this skull is to mount it on the wall?IDIOTICALLY designed and USELESS mounting post.Company should be ashamed of itself, because if they can't fix this problem, I've taken the time to drill holes in my wall, and will have to unmount this wet straw post and it's plate from my wall, and ship all of this stuff back to them, which is too bad, because I really like the skull, but it serves ZERO use if I can't.... dun, Dunh, DUH!.....MOUNT IT TO THE WALL!!!I'd be interested to see just how many of these skulls are returned, broken/damaged/shattered, because someone mounted it, walked away, and a fly landed on the skull, sending it crashing to the ground, because the wet straw mounting post buckled under the weight of the fly landing on the skull.Absolute LAZINESS on the part of the team that designed the mount.A simple millisecond Spot-Weld on each side of the elbow joint would turn this wet straw post into a solid, structurally sound piece of unified metal....but, NOPE!...."let's focus on the skull, and create the weakest mounting post the world has ever seen to suspend this breakable skull, high above the ground...what could possibly go wrong?"The other idiotic thing about this post, is that it doesn't have any way to secure the skull to the post. The skull has a hole in the bottom of it, and this post inserts into the hole, but aside from two small little tang slots coming off the post, to prevent the skull from rotating (ie: making sure it faces forward when seated on the post), the skull is just "in-contact" with the post, but not affixed to it in any way...it's just resting on top of the post....SO, when the wet straw post's elbow gives way, the skull comes flying off the post like a severed head, and hopefully into your hands instead of crashing to the ground. The attached video is literally only the second time I've put the skull on the wet straw post, and only the second time I've gently placed the helmet on the skull, and you can see just have fast this wet straw post failed (to the point where I was in such a rush to catch the skull and helmet plunging into my hand, that I somehow mistakenly stopped the video before showing you the flimsy, worthless failed elbow joint of the wet straw post that gave way...but, you can see just how inadequate the joint is in the second picture, which I took after the skull / helmet fell into my hands for the second time).Until this company puts more than 3 seconds of thought into design / construction / structural integrity of the post that is supposed to securely keep this skull mounted to the wall, and prevent it from crashing to the ground (either damaging it, or worse yet, maybe an expensive motorcycle helmet you have)....I WOULD AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS!.....You're risking the value of whatever you plan on placing on top of this skull, because this product’s wet straw mounting post will BARELY support the skull, and any other weight you place on the skull, will send it, and whatever you place on top of it, crashing to the ground. It's really too bad, because I love the skull, and would love to keep this product, but I cannot take the chance that this skull, or anything I put on top of it, might both come crashing to the ground at a moment's notice...possibly destroying both items…

Bummer!
Super cute piece I was looking forward to hanging up. Unfortunately, it looks like someone forgot to weld the post arm at the elbow and the post won’t stand up to carry the weight of the skull (much less the helmet). Returning!

Not worth the money
The only reason I didn’t send this back was that will use it for decorating only. You can’t hang anything on this without the entire skull coming with it. You have to permanently attach the skull to the mount. I have bought other that do this with a simple set screw. I would highly NOT recommend this

Looks great but not very durable.
Looks great on the wall but not durable. Hit the helmet on it when handing the helmet on it and the corner broke in the first use so it has a hole in it now.
