I bought these for mixing bulk aquarium chemicals for my saltwater reef tanks. I have 3 reef tanks set up and dose Calcium, Alkalinity, Magnesium for my core elements that help make up the coral skeletons. As the corals grow they consume these elements. So with 3 reef tanks I buy bulk pharmaceutical grade cal, alk & MG. And measure out RO/DI water and weigh the bulk powders in grams to make my dosing solutions. I utilize a magnetic stir plate to help with mixing. Once the powders are dissolved and the solutions are clear I store them in clean recycled plastic bottles until ready to fill the dosing

These make a great set of 8oz drinking glasses for the table. Gets a comment from visitors. Glasses hold liquid and are comfortable for drinking. Work well in the dishwasher. Began using these years ago when my wife had a stroke and had to be fed a measured liquid formula, and found them good for my everyday use -- easier to drink Coke from these than from the can.

They are really thin and know they will crack on a hot plate. I can still use them. I am new to this stuff but can anyone tell me what the white pill looking thing is and how it works. I know it is for mixing but don't know how to use.

Does what it's supposed to. Easy to read.

The first set of these beakers arrived broken. The large beaker in the replacement set broke when my student lifted the empty beaker. This quality of this product is so poor it would not pass US standard for disposable product packaging. It should be removed from Amazon in my opinion. It is dangerous to the user.

I break stuff I dropped one of these 2 minutes after opening the box it bounced across the floor smacked a table leg and survived

Se ven muy bien, vienen muy bien empacados y es un buen precio por el producto que ofrecen.

La verdad me gustaron mucho los vasos de precipitados y había esperado mucho para poder comprarlos. Primera vez que los use y se me quebró el de 500 ml del fondo. Lo sometí dos veces al baño María (habiendo dejado que se enfriara entre una y otra vez), estaba batiendo la mezcla que tenia en baño María y se quebró. Consulte con un amigo que sabe de material de laboratorio y me comento que no es normal, que están hechos para ese tipo de cosas. No se si sea mi percepción, pero creo que de la base tenia el vidrio mas delgado. Los demás se ven bien y el de 1000 ml si soporto bien el baño María y batida ( igual solo una vez lo sometí al baño María, pero no debería de ser problema eso ).En fin me quede sin el de 500 ml.
