It's solid! Test mount with clamps first to mount to correct height
Find the center of the transom. Use sturdy C-clamps to hold the mount on the transom, centered and at the correct height (cavitation plate of outboard in line with the bottom of the boat). Pick which divots that will go through the transom board after drilling and mark them with a pen or pencil. Make a mark around the mount after you're sure it's centered and at the right height. Remove the mount. Drill the holes with the correct size of your bolts (stainless steel hardware). Use a sharp drill and go slowly so you don't drift the hole (I used a drill press, aligned and clamped for each hole. After the holes are drilled, re-clamp the mount on the boat where you marked it and then drill the holes through the boat. I used silicone seal on the bolts, holes and fender washers with a lock nut on the inside, tightened well. I cut the excess threads off the bolts so they wouldn't snag things, like flesh and fuel lines.

Works good
Works great used it with a 15hp mercury 4 stroke. Edges are a little rough but doesn’t affect the use

Perfect jack plate!
Worked perfect for my job boat! I needed 4 inch lift so I purchased this jack plate and it works well! The multiple bolt hole patterns make it customizable and easy to install!

Very very large
I purchased for my 9.9' Bris inflatable dinghy. The quality is super solid although the pure wood on the inside made me a bit concerned about longevity. That said, I ended up returning because this piece is incredibly large. I have transom wheels installed on my dinghy and there was no way to mount this with the wheels. A choice had to be made and I decided on the wheels in stead of this mount. I do think it's worth the price though.TL;DR: Just make sure you get accurate measurements of this piece so that you're confident it'll fit on your transom. Great quality, just super large. I couldn't mount with my transom wheels already being in place.

Quality
Quality is good, make sure you do your measurements and try to line it up where you think you're going to need it otherwise you're going to be unbolting it to adjust it. Another thing that consider is you're going to have to make sure it's 4 in or more above your existing transom. Because there might not be enough clearance for your clamps of your outboard motor.

Works
Pretty simple. Does what it’s supposed to

Great improvement
I have a 15” transom and a 15” short shaft motor but the motor still sat a few inches low. I was able to bring it up to a perfect hight for maximum performance. A 3” lift is a huge improvement when it comes to running shallow waters
