What I notice about this product in comparison to Lancome skin care products I have used consistently for the past 2 decades. After the 3rd use I can notice the change. The best way to use this, lather and put on your skin, face, neck, hands, ect... let it stay on for 2-5 minutes than gently remove with water leaving a light residue of the product on the skin. Now in my opinion this is the important part. With a light layer of the product left of the face, using your fingers rub up/down & circular motion on your skin like your rolling off dead skin. This is the top layer of the dead cells that causes wrinkles, sunspots, dark spots, dryness. Again, when I initially rinse the product, I leave a light layer of product on my skin to make it easier to rub & exfoliate the top dead cells on my face, neck, hands( I also used it on my elbows, knees & armpits, 4 bars for $20 is a great deal & I'm willing to buy more since I had awesome results). What I learned about skincare as I get older especially on my face. It's constantly being exposed to environmental elements, sun damage, make-up, my pillow, hard water. By exfoliating my face once a week with a good moisturizer( I used Lancome Absolue Rich or Soft Cream $280 or coconut oil. Dont use a moisturizer with alcohol or Parfums cause it will irritate your skin). It's important to moisturize afterwards cause this product just removed dead cell skin & moisturizer is key! At 45 my skin looks amazing but I had these light sunspots and dry dead skin that causes aging. Not super noticeable but noticeable to me on my cheek bone area and around my eyes. I not only focus on my face but my entire body especially the neck and hands cause those are the areas women tend to neglect and are aging giveaways with sunspots, wrinkles. Also I'd recommend doing this at night before bed to allow your skin to heal vs. going out in the elements wind, sun, humidity and exposing your newly clean sensitive skin to damage causing activities. Again my opinion simply because this bar soap removed the top layer of skin leaving the underlaying of skin, the soft, sumple, fresh layer of skin that gives you the glow & youthfulness we all want.Also I know this is weird but don't do it around your menstrual period time. Why? As a women our hormones are crazy and I know I break out around my chin area. You definitely don't want to irritate your skin while your hormones aka acne period are the cause for a short time of the month. This can cause bacteria around your pimples, break & scratch the skin, leaving scars or marks. Again my own opinion but it works for me cause my hormones cause me to have acne plus I have Lupus and I get butterfly like rash on my face over my nose bridge & cheeksHope my review helps but definitely a good buy!

I was commenting about my colleague’s insanely perfect skin to my other coworker the other day. Coworker said “she must be getting in all of her pre-wedding prep skincare sessions (at a spa)”The next week, I couldn’t help myself. “You skin is GLOWING”, I told colleague, “you have to tell me what you’re using”. She laughed, and replied: “you’re probably not going to believe me, but BAR SOAP! It is this stuff I got at TJ Maxx.”I had to find it. We searched up this link on Amazon and I immediately placed a next-day order.The smell was different… like tea tree oil I guess? which is fine, just not what I expected.I’m writing this review with sopping wet hair from having just used it for the first time in the shower and holy heck my skin felt changed with the first use. It felt calm and slippery and out of the shower my normally red/irritated skin was clean and not angry. It removed all of the waterproof mascara that normally still leaves traces under my eyes with 3x washing with (popular name brand) face cleanser that I’ve been using for my sensitive skin.I am amazed.Maybe this new habit and secret ingredient will result in a wedding for me, too? lolSeriously, just buy it. It is shocking improvement for me after ONE use. Unreal.

So I was going to wait a lil bit before writing a review but I’ve had I’ll go ahead and write one now and another down the line after some more use. I’ve been using this twice a day for about a week now so I haven’t had any major changes or fading yet but I do want to say that I love the way it makes me feel, it leaves my skin soft and just a very clean feeling. I’m a makeup girl and I use makeup remover and this after and it gets all the left over makeup off with no problem! It doesn’t dry out my skin or anything and I feel like it has already given my skin a healthy glow to it, nothing dramatic so far but I do enjoy it and although I don’t expect drastic life changing effects I do believe that it will improve my skins texture and uneven tone after some time using it. I suffered from hormonal acne for many many years leaving scars and uneven skin tone, I have a lot of dark spots so we shall see how it goes.. I will update in a few months, but so far so good, I really like this product and even if it doesn’t wow me with results on skin tone I’ll buy it again.. I just love how clean it makes my skin feel!

Started using in May 6 for several dark spots on hand. Per instructions, used twice daily & worked soap into a lather, but did not let it sit or linger.I have posted pictures from the start date May 6, May 11, and today, May 28. You can tell there is a difference, especially with the smaller spits surrounding the large one.The soap feels gentle in the skin and smells pleasant. It isn't an instant “miracle cure”, but I don't ever believe those claims. It is a product packed with vitamins needed to help rejuvenate skin and reduce the severity of dark spots. I will continue using it.
