Mozaics Organic Popped Veggie & Potato Chips- Healthy snack, under 100 calories, better than veggie straws or stix - gluten free - 3.5oz big bags (Cheddar, 8-count)

I kind of had high hopes for these, as I'm always on the lookout for healthier popped or baked snacks/chips (preferably organic) with ingredients I can pronounce and recognize. These are middling, (thus the three stars), IMO, more on the better side than not. Like some other reviewers, I found the Mozaics Sea Salt Veggie Chips tasted just like the regular Popchips (not in itself bad at all), but if you think you're going to be able to taste the "veggie" part of them (the yellow and green peas), think again. Yes, the're made with good ingredients, are organic, and look pretty (like mosaics . . . get it?), but the Sea Salt variety is just plain bland. Also, as other reviewers commented, several of the chips in the bags were burnt/overcooked (no, the dark color wasn't from the black beans. The black beans are evident as small black speckles, like pepper, in the chips. The overcooked chips were brown and tasted burnt, so this was altogether a different issue than the black beans used.) So, bland + burned = BLAH. A better alternative, IMO, is the Off the Eaten Path Veggie Crisps, which are also made with yellow and green peas and black beans, but with rice flour instead of potatoes, so they have a lighter taste), Those are positively addicting. On a high note, Mozaics, based out of my hometown, supports the Chicago Mosaic School, the first and only premier not-for-profit mosaic art school in North America. So, the company's mission is great. The taste and the quality control of the product, however, can be improved upon.

So my sea salt chips arrived and I quickly opened a bag to taste them. Comparing them to other bags of similar chips,these are organic, 80 calories, low carb and fairly low fat so not all chips are equal even if they come in small bags....I tasted one and my husband asked "what are you eating?"I gave him a chip...he wanted more...We wound up sharing the bag...trying to keep ourselves from opening another bag... we decided this was perfect for a very small snack...just enough to enjoy a delicious crunch, taste the veggies, notparticularly salty and not remotely spicy.. If I compare this to the potato pop chips, I like these better... I love the ingredient list...everything I'd want to eat, nothing objectionable...Love the individual portioned sized bags...always going to stay freshly sealed. Every time I'd open a larger bag of chips,, no matter how well I sealed it, it went stale and I never know when to stop eating with a full sized bag because who counts chips and puts away a bag?.......I'm happy I read the positive reviews and took a chance on ordering 12 small bags....I would definitely purchase these chips again. I'm always trying to find healthy, organic, sensible snack foods. And this certainly fits that description.

My husband had the sea salt Mozaics on a Delta flight and raved about them. He brought a bag home for us to try, and we loved them. My seven year old son thought they were awesome. It is hard to find healthy snacks kids will eat, so we decided to order a couple cases thru amazon. We ordered the sea salt and the salsa. The salsa ones are tasty but extremely spicy and hot...after a few my mouth was on fire. Wished we had tried a single bag before ordering a whole case. They would be good if they toned the spice down a bit.

We all eat treats, the key is portion control and indulging in less bad for you treats. Mozaics popped veggie chips fit the bill. Each bag has just enough to be satisfying at only 80 calories. Great for adults and perfectly sized for kids. They are all good but I liked the cheddar ones the best.

We were looking for a healthy snack for our son who goes to a Jewish school and they only allow Kosher snacks to be brought in. The item's description says "Certified OU Kosher" and also the picture clearly has a U sign on it. We just got our order and none of the packs we received have any type of Kosher sign on them, which makes them kind of not kosher :). Tried to return but it says that this item is not eligible for returns.

I am addicted to these. Sea Salt is what I purchase dafter having them offered as a snack on my recent business trip on the flight. Great taste, wholesome and will definitely purchase a different seasoning next time. Came properly packaged unlike another vege chip I purchased at the same time that came in a shipping bag and was all crumbs. These came in a box and in perfect condition. Pricey and hope the price will go down over time.

I was a little skeptical when I first tasted a sample at the Gluten Free Expo but boy was I wrong. They are crunchy, flavorful and do not have the taste of eating peas. I was so surprised how good they were that I ordered immediately. Its a great, healthy product and don't let the ingredients scare you away

Wow wow wow—love these! Spicy, crunchy, tasty, veg, what a perfect treat! Far exceeded expectations, these are my absolute favorite (fave crave lol), including well, everything snack-related. And plenty of meals. Sometimes I skip the meal for these, because I’m grown & I can. Regular chips, cookies, crackers don’t tempt at all anymore, they’ve all turned blah — this is that thing you* crave when you’re hungry but nothing seems “it” (*I) because it wasn’t this.
