Drinking this 'water' can push your blood out of the pH safe range of 7.1 to 7.35. As my blood became more Alkaline, my body in trying to maintain homeostasis, reduced my respiration rate to dump CO2 erroneously.This lead to insufficient Oxygen, passing out and entering Cyanosis. Fortunately, Paramedics were able to reverse this and, via A&E, it ended up with a stay in hospital. Major Contraindications with painkillers such as Codeine.
